We take this opportunity to express our deep gratitude to all members of the NW chapter of IAPM for giving us the chance to host this meeting. It is our pleasure and privilege to invite you all to the conference of NW Chapter of IAPM, scheduled for April 20, 2025. This conference aims to foster deeper and more impactful connections among five states, united not only by geographical proximity but also by a shared commitment to advancing Pathology and healthcare services.
Our objective is to enable budding pathologists to benefit from the experience of seniors and share ideas and resources with peers. We hope to inspire and bring about effective methodologies, innovative research and practical insights. The conference will have sessions on various interesting and challenging topics. There will be oral paper and poster sessions, and a slide seminar with a difference. The event promises to be both stimulating and educational, featuring eminent speakers who will offer their valuable perspectives on these topics.
Moreover, this will be an opportunity to experience Chandigarh, a city that beckons one and all with an open hand. We can assure you that it will leave a lasting impression with its scenic charm and welcoming atmosphere.

The Department of Pathology was founded in October 1992 under the visionary leadership of Prof. Harsh Mohan, who served until his retirement in 2015. He was succeeded by Prof. Uma Handa, the only faculty member who has been a part of the department since its inception, witnessing its evolution into the distinguished entity it is now.
Over the years, the department has become a cornerstone of GMCH providing exceptional diagnostic services while excelling in the teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students. Equipped with cutting edge technology, the department boasts automation in all key areas. Currently, the department has a dedicated team of faculty members, senior residents, and postgraduate students. This vibrant mix of experienced professionals and energetic young minds drives advancements in diagnostics, education, and research.
